As part of the Spending Round announcements made on 26 June 2013, government committed to increasing its support for growth and delivery within Enterprise Zones with an additional £50 million being made available for the Local Infrastructure Fund.
Further support may also be available through a £2 billion funding pot for local enterprise partnerships (LEPs).
The fund will help to drive job creation and investment forward within the LEP areas, and includes £1 billion for transport and £500 million for skills and training.
This funding builds on the billions of pounds already invested, and will include £400 million from the New Homes Bonus, locally pooled to support housing and local growth
