Coordinated refurbishment programme

Project statistics

Working in partnership with Wandsworth Council, Madison Brook delivered a four-week refurbishment programme at Flats A-C, 52 Allfarthing Lane.

The programme included external decorations, communal area improvements and associated repairs to enhance building safety, improve shared spaces and protect the long-term condition of the property.

Delivered within an occupied residential building, every stage of the programme was carefully planned to minimise disruption while creating a safer, more welcoming environment for residents.

The challenge

The building required investment to improve fire safety, refurbish communal areas and address external repairs that would protect the property for the future.

With residents remaining in their homes throughout the programme, the challenge was delivering the works safely, maintaining access and keeping disruption to an absolute minimum while ensuring every improvement met the required standard.

The solution

We delivered a coordinated refurbishment programme designed to improve safety, appearance and the long-term performance of the building.

The works included fire safety improvements, refurbishment of communal areas, external decorations and a range of associated repairs, including roof, masonry, drainage and carpentry works. We also upgraded staircases, flooring, communal finishes and external access features to create safer, more durable shared spaces.

Working within a live residential environment, we managed the programme from start to finish, coordinating specialist contractors, maintaining regular communication with residents and ensuring the works were delivered safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption.

The outcome

The programme has created a safer, more attractive and more resilient building that will continue to serve residents for years to come.

Residents now benefit from improved communal spaces, enhanced fire safety and a better day-to-day living environment, while Wandsworth Council has a more robust and better-protected asset with reduced future maintenance requirements.

Delivered safely within an occupied building, the project demonstrates how carefully planned refurbishment can improve homes, protect long-term investment and create lasting value for both residents and the Council.
