Client – Hounslow Council

What we did

• Refurbished 650 residential properties over three years to client’s specification
• Upgraded all homes to meet Building Regulations and achieve EPC D rating
• Fully rewired, upgraded kitchens and bathrooms, installed boilers and completed internal and external decoration

Our approach

Working closely with the client we agreed the specification and phased the works on this empty building to optimise the programme. Using our dedicated teams of professional trades people we stripped back and reinstalled, with rigorous quality checks at each stage to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Every newly-refurbished home was deep cleaned before handover. And we made things easy for the landlord by providing a handover pack including appliance manuals, warranties, O&M information and certification.

Refurbishing and replanning to get the most out of a residential block

Client: Lampton Homes

What we did

• Complete overhaul of a block and its six 1- & 2-bed apartments in London, W4 to client’s specification
• Refurbished both the interior and exterior, including landscaping
• Ensured building compliance and appropriate energy performance

Our approach

Working with the owner, our team refurbished this attractive block in Thameside inside and out. The inside needed replanning to create six apartments, and we stripped everything back then rebuilt to the client’s plans, including upgrading communal areas, new kitchens and bathrooms, refurbishing the outside of the block and landscaping.

A lesson in building excellence

Client – Primary school, Kent, working via main contractor

What we did

• Demolished existing small structures
• Completed the design and build of new school entrance and ancillary works, including internal finishes
• Built new flat roof including appropriate coverings
• Full project management under the JCT Design and Build contract

Our approach

We worked closely with the client’s consultant and the headteacher to deliver this high-profile change to the school’s entrance while minimising impact on staff and pupils.

Working to an agreed 12-week timetable, we built a high-quality new entrance for visitors which enhances safeguarding and alleviates previous issues with entering the school via the playground.

The project was successfully delivered on time and on budget, with appropriate measures to keep pupils safe as we worked during the school term. The head, teachers and pupils are proud of the smart first impression their new school entrance gives.
